How much money should i spend for back to school?

Ok I am a teen and i need to go back-to-school shopping for things like tees, jeans, tanks, shorts, shoes and etc.. As a parent how much would you give a 13 year old girl going into 8th grade for back-to school shopping? How much do you usually give your daughter? Or how much would you give her?

200$ It's what I usually get. Look for sales. :) (trust me, with sales, and only 100$, it still didn't work, and I bought only 2 tees, a backpack, and two pairs of shoes! all on SALE!)

How do you bring your books to and from school? A backpack, tote bag or just carry them?

Q. I was just wondering. It's really divided at our school. The guys all bring backpacks but for the girls are divided. There are many who bring tote bags, many that bring backpacks and many that just carry their books.
I currently bring a tote bag. What do you do? Also what grade are you in?
My school has lockers. I sometimes bring a lunch when I don't buy.

i carry a tote.
well, the ones from like hollister and abercrombie.
they're nice and have a lot of room.
if they're not big enough, you can always buy bigger ones.
totes are pretty and can double as a purse in a way. ;)

almost all girls in my high school use totes.
