kids backpacks personalized image
~Jenn~
My kids' school has to have a mesh or clear backpack and in the past, the clear plastic ones just don't hold up. My 11 year old has a Jansport backpack, but my 4 year old will be starting school in the fall and I'd like to find him a backpack that's his size. The only ones I've ever seen in Walmart hand down to the elementary school kids knees. I would love to find one that could be personalized for him, but that's just the icing on the cake.
Answer
academy. they sell mesh jansport at reasonable prices
also try most athletic stores, and sports stores
but academy will over best price.

How to Make a Cute bag to carry around Camp?
Hadley M
Im going to a week long overnight camp next week and i want a bag i can take to go to the pool or carry something i need. we cant bring backpacks or purses though. Help!
Answer
You might start by finding a nice tote bag, then personalize it to make it stick out from other kids' bags. If you can sew, you can add colorful patches to it, or even embroider your name on it. You can find tote bags in all sorts of places. I got one from our library for carrying books. They sell them real cheap.
Another solution is to find a colorful pillowcase. Knock large grommets into the open end, about every three or four inches. (Grommets are those metal rings in the corners of flags to keep them from ripping. You can get a simple grommet kit at home stores and sewing stores.) Then get a length of rope, weave it in and out of the grommets, then tie it together to make a big loop around the open end of the pillowcase. The rope becomes the strap for carrying it over your shoulder. By weaving it in and out of the grommets, it will draw itself closed when the bag is full and you pick it up by the rope.
Have a great time at camp!
