Any recommendations for a good backpacking trip in Ventana Wilderness?

I'm looking to do a weekend backpacking trip in the Ventana Wildeness. I'd like to find a scenic trail (maybe 5 miles one way) and nice place to camp. I'm not looking for a crowded, overused campground. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The Pine Ridge Trail provides visitors to the Big Sur Valley with one of the most popular portals into the Ventana Wilderness. The recently opened trailhead at the Big Sur Station has excellent parking, plenty of water, and clean restrooms. The Nature Station Store, which is located at the Big Sur Station, provides hikers with maps and other literature associated with the natural history of the Big Sur region.

Need advice on where to go camping only 3 hours from modesto?

Hi I am trying to decide where i want to go camping. I want a more environmental or primitive spot not close to too many ppl. I am going in november so it cant be a place to cold. I have three places in mind but not sure which one to go to they also need to allow campfires.

So the places im thinking are Yosimete, big sur or Stanislaus National Forest or if there are other places you can think of.

Contact the Groveland Forest Service Office, 209-962-7825, ask about Spinning Wheel Campground. It's a primitive camp area along the Middle Fork of the Toulumne River off Highway 120 about 12 miles east of Groveland at 3,000 ft. elevation. It's uncommon to see anyone there during the off season, even on the week-ends. There aren't any places to camp in Yosemite away from people unless you backpack.
