What is the best place to visit in the Oregon - Washington area?

Mt. Hood, Mt. Rainer, and or Mt. Bachelor- They all have lots of snow recreation. The oceans along the Oregon coast are great fun (go to moes, they have the best clam chowder in Oregon).
Olympia National Park is fun for backpacking, camping, and hiking. Space needle in Seattle looks fun although i've never been there.

Looking for my first tent. Any recommendations for a durable weather resistant tent?

I live in Oregon where it rains pretty much always and it can get rather chilly at night time. A weather resistant tent is a must! It would be awesome if I could take backpacking as well. Do any of you have a favorite tent you have gotten over the years? Any recommendations are appreciated!

A good all weather back packer tent will have a 3-4 season rating If a tent says its a 2 man then it ill be a tight fit for 2 men add 1 more for each size tent. Weight will be higher for these tents as well expect a good quality tent 2 man tent to weigh at around 6lbs +. Two wall construction will give you the best weather protection and that basically means a tent with an attachable rain fly. get one with a good size vestibule which is basically a small porch for a tent. Read and compare reviews of the tents to compare what's best for you. REI is a good web site and store to compare (not the cheapest) I like this tent for that style of camping,
