I really want a 30/30 cal. If anybody has one or knows sombody who does, i would like to hear some reviews.. Also is a .457 too much for a 14 year old?

Answer
Tate:
Until I saw that one on Wild West Alaska, I had never heard of them, and I LIVE in Alaska not far from where those are supposedly made. Sounds to me like a .45-70 conversion they claim to be a bear gun. Up here in Alaska, big bore guns like that can come in handy. But if you live in the "lower 48" it is probably WAY over gunned for just about anything you would ever care to hunt for. The ONLY feature I see that would be appreciated down there "might" be the break-down feature for backpacking. But consider this important point. If you are hiking in bear country, the LAST place you want your gun to be is in your pack. Carry it and be ready. For that purpose, a LOT of great guns will serve you just as well as the Co-Pilot. Both Marlin and Winchester make some sweet offerings in .30-30 and Marlin will also sell you a .45-70 if you really think you need it. And in the long run, either one of those will cost you a WHOLE LOT LESS than something you saw on Wild West Alaska. Good luck.

Where do you get your inspiration for writing?

Q. I'm having major writers block, and I'm looking for advice on how to get inspired again. Thanks in advance.

Answer
I get my inspiration from so many things. My beliefs, my friends, my family, my thoughts, my possessions, the things I see . . . the list is endless

Writers block isn't permanent. Go somewhere you have never been before, somewhere with amazing scenery that is hard to get to, like a mountain or backpacking journey. If you get an idea, take a break and relax, if you don't, still take a break and write about how you're feeling, temperature, what you see, anything. That way you can come up with original ideas that come from you and only you.

If that doesnât work, maybe try and take a break, week minimum. If you love to write, I wonât really be an easy task/you wonât enjoy it but maybe it will help you.

What makes you happy? Do that. If someone is making you depressed , then either try and sort it, think of everything you want to say to them, not to their face, alone. And if you find it helpful, write it down. It helps relieve stress and the bottled emotions you may be hiding. If you are just generally depressed, ask yourself why. Do this alone, with no distractions. Really let you emotions run, and if you feel anything deep, write it down like a well described diary.

Other Ideas
Take a break!
You should get some oxygen flowing in your brain and it can help you feel more mentally alert.
Read a good book.
Determine your sticking point . . . Characters, Plot, Beginning Middle and End
Write ahead and skip over the part you are stuck on
Do a time line or a summary of your story
Write about something else
Re-think your story idea
Let it pass
Write more . . . blogs, reviews anything
Don't beat yourself up or get frustrated
