Would it be safe to take a sleep aid when camping?

I like to go on weekend excursion backpacking trips. The problem i have is that i have trouble sleeping which makes for long nights and exhausting hikes. Is it safe to take a mild sleep aid such as a nighttime pain relief like Tylenol pm to help me sleep?

Sure it will be safe. Went on a three week bicycle trip from Seattle to San Francisco in 2000. Despite being very comfortable with my sleeping arrangements, I had a terrible time sleeping despite the usage of over the counter sleep aids. I was so tired at the end of the trip with only averaging 3 to 5 hours of sleep a night. Last night of the trip I slept for about 2 hours.
One problem I did discover is eating a big meal late in the day. Touring company provided great home made meals every night. Should have passed on about 75% of the food I ate and just about 100% of the desserts. That would have helped me sleep better.
Take the Tylenol PM and get a good night's rest.

Any recommendations for a good backpacking trip in Ventana Wilderness?

I'm looking to do a weekend backpacking trip in the Ventana Wildeness. I'd like to find a scenic trail (maybe 5 miles one way) and nice place to camp. I'm not looking for a crowded, overused campground. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The recently opened trailhead at the Big Sur Station has excellent parking, plenty of water, and clean restrooms. The Nature Station Store, which is located at the Big Sur Station, provides hikers with maps and other literature associated with the natural history of the Big Sur region.
