camping backpack australia image

I want to go backpacking to Australia, no hotels or anything just actually camping and backpacking and i want to know which places are the best to visit. I want to go for 3 to 6 months so i have time to see most of Australia (mostly shores and beaches) I am reading about the Bibbulmun track and it sounds amazing but its king of far from where i wanted to go (starting in Queensland and visiting as much places as i can until i get to kangaroo island) so i wanted to know if there's another track like that one on the main areas where i'm gonna be?? I know Queensland is huge so im staying mostly around the shore unless you suggest something better! thanks very much!!
Answer
Princess, well yes I may have a better suggestion, only because I have been there and experienced it. It was the Kimberli's in Central Australia, it was amazing. There is nothing there, just the clear pools, and waterfalls, the critters, like wallaby's, a few goanna's, a couple of death adders if your not careful. Then the amazing colors of the bird life.
Now there were five us, plus the guide, and our back packs held basics, a lot of food is what we hunted (snared) and gathered, with the help of the aboriginal guide.

Question on What kind of Travel Bag to Use in Australia?
benreyes83
I am traveling for about 1.5 months from Mexico, then to Australia and finally in Fiji. I was wondering if someone experienced with prolonged travel could tell me if I should use a cargo style large bag or if a Kelty/ North Face, large style backpack would do the trick. I won't be doing anything majorly strenuous but there will be camping involved and as I said, I will be away for about 1.5 months. Thanks.
Answer
Having travelled twice around Europe with the same backpack, this is definitely the way to go (hands free, weight distributed on shoulders, waist). As you are only going for 1.5 months, you will have more than enough room for all your stuff. Pack it then take half your clothes out - you will not need them!
