I am me

what is the best? I was thinking about the 2 day assault backpack

Answer
Military packs are ok just not my favorite. I prefer a pack designed for backpacking wilderness area's and such. I've heard the argument, "Gomer Pyle's been using them for years and if it's good enough for the Marines it's good enough for you" and frankly since I am not planning an all out attack on anybody climbing Mt. Whitney I would rather get a pack equipped for mountaineering instead of a military attack. They are similar yes but different enough that the mountaineering pack is the better choice. I prefer brands like North Face, Gregory and REI size wise a 60 to 70 ltr pack will be sufficient for 2-3 day trips or longer. Here is a link to REI, check out and read the reviews of the different packs they offer,

I'm a guy and I was wanting a canvas military style backpack. She showed me this one and I liked it, so she ordered it. I was reading reviews later and found out it was a girls backpack. Do you think anyone will be able to tell?

Answer
to be honest, i wouldn't know it it was a girls backpack. the only thing i suggest is that you remove the tassel/braid things on the zippers of the side pockets. Do that and you are all good :)
