I'm a freshman and at the high school I'm going to none of the girls use backpacks, they use big shoulder bags and stuff. I want to fit in so I need to know where I can buy a nice, durable shoulder bag for cheap in BC Canada. Any suggestions?

Answer
I'm not sure where in BC but here in the US you can get them from Hollister Co, American Eagle, Areopostal. you can also check out your local store like Walmart, Target and we have a store here Kohls that is pretty good for getting that type of bag. When I was in high school we changes bags every few months.

A group of my friends and I want to go to Europe?

For Narnia

Ireland, Scotland, England, and Sweden is were we want to go. We plan to go backpacking in 2015-2016. My step mother says we won't earn enough money. We're all pretty close (Myself and 3 other girls) We plan to stay in Hostels and Hotels, in Sweden my sister lives there, so we may stay in her place but if not, we'll stay in Hostels. Then We're planning to go to Cuba then come back to our homes (Canada) We plan to stay May-August.

How much Money should we save (Each of us)?
How can I rub it into my step mothers face that we will go?
How can we earn more money?

Oh TIPS* We all have some sort of disability. No ones in a wheel chair, or has to use crutches.

Answer
At this time the minimum for backpacking in these countries will be about $CAN 100 per day, less if going for the absolute bottom line but more if staying in hotels.

I think it might be realistic to go for a couple of weeks, but 3 or 4 months is likely beyond what you can save up for, your step mother might be right in you not being able to get the money together for what you plan.
Best not to brag about going until you are sure that you can safe up enough.

You do not tell what age you have and whether you still go to school, but unless you have a full time job and live with your parents, saving up will be almost impossible, certainly when you also need to live from the money you earn.

Best to set most of your income aside into a savings account, but keep a bit out so you have some money to spend. If you save all you will not keep up. You can always decide not to spend it and tuck it in later, but it is very hard if you can not even buy yourself a cup of coffee when in town.

Ask for all your presents like birthday and Christmas gifts, to be in money you can set aside to the goal.
Talk with adults who might be willing to support you, like grant parents, uncles and aunts, and adult friends who might be able to give you odd jobs to earn more money.
You will need a part time job at least, unless you have rich families that can just give you money.

As Canadians you might be able to get a working holiday visa, or whatever they are called these days, for one of the countries, but chances are small that you will be able to find a job, due to poor economy and high unemployment, if your disability makes it worse, you stand no chance at all.
