I saw on Arrested Development that Rita had a plush duck backpack that wasn't super small but not too large either. I'm looking for one similar that would hold my stuff that I carry around every day (phone, notebook, pens, etc.) that I could use instead of a handbag. Are there any stores that sell these?

Answer
If you're from Europe, than I suggest you United Colours of Benetton (the kids section).
When I was smaller, my parents got me one from the brand Samsonite (which I'm not sure if you can buy it in the US, but defenitely Europe).

What are good girly teenage backpack brands?

aby

I need a well known backpack brand website. The back packs have to be for godly teenagers. More than one would be nice. And website link. 10 points for including 5+ brands of backpacks and the website. Thanks!!!!!

Answer
Jansport, for sure. They have hundreds of patterns to choose from, and a good 70% of kids at my school use this brand, definitely a "godly" brand, haha. > http://www.jansport.com/js_product_thumb.php?cid=1

Roxy, I find this brand of back packs, the most cute and girly. Amazing quality too. > http://www.roxy.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=3176247

Billabong, another brand that I really like. > http://www.billabonggirls-usa.com/product-cat/189/backpacks

O'Neil, includes tote bags, but you can scroll to right to see the backpacks > http://www.oneill.com/#/women/americacanada/collection/women/product/all/bags/

L.L. Bean > http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/508666?nav=ln-508666

Dakine, not the most popular, but will definitely last a while. > http://www.dakine.com/w/packs/street-packs/girls#color=9

There are many more brands out there for backpacks. & Well known athletic brands have pretty nice bags too, not the most "girly" though (Puma, Nike, Adidas, Columbia, etc.)

My daughter is going into 7th grade. We will be going out looking for backpacks soon. ANy suggestions? DO junior highers use lunchboxes? Or is it cooler to just buy your lunch or what?

Answer
definitely not the roller suitcase type backpacks. even though they are better for the back its just not cool. majority of junior high kids buy their lunch at school in the cafeteria. a simple packback like jansport or something with a cute color that your kid likes would be good.

What backpack do i use for my freshman year of highschool?

Nikkie

im going into my freshman yaer and i dont know what kind of backpack the kids use like regular ones or the cute sholder ones that u get from like hollister ? what do most people (girls) use ? :)

Answer
please don't get a shoulder one.
when i started highschool, so many of the girls in my grade had them, but after like a week they went to buy a backpack.
you have a lot of books, so it's gunna be too heavy on one shoulder.

just get a normal one.
maybe a jansport. like the solid red one, or whatever colour you like!
so many people at my school from gr 9-12 had them.

i'm going into grade 10 now :)

How can you turn a boring backpack into a cool backpack?

Q. I have a very boring blue backpack and I wanted to make it interesting and cooler. But I don't know how...

Answer
How to Decorate a Backpack

At our house, we get out the fabric paints, fabric glue, sequins and other treasures from the craft box and make our very own personalized backpack. How do we make a school backpack transform from drab to fab?

Dimensional paints are 3D acrylic paints that are applied similarly to bottled glue, but come in an incredible rainbow of colors. A 6 pack of Scribbles dimensional fabric paint are priced around $5 for 6 one ounce bottles that will last through hundreds of art projects.

We refer to craft magazines and kids craft books to find designs that we like, and use them as a reference to create our own unique designs. We use a pencil to lightly sketch in the design and then trace the pencil lines with the paint. For girls, mod daisies, butterflies, fish, and hearts are popular shapes. Boys might like stars, lightening bolts, robots, fish, dinosaurs or lego shapes.

Sequins are shiny pieces of colored metal that glitter when the light hits their surface. Some sequins use a special tool to punch the sequin through the fabric and attach a backing. Other types of glitter can be glued on with fabric glue.

Sequins can be glued in a random pattern or applied in concentric circles, star bursts or other patterns. Sequins are sold in craft stores in a wide range of prices for every budget.

Zipper pulls can also change the look of a backpack. We attach plastic charms and beads to a couple of large fishing swivels, which are then clipped to the zipper tab. Of course, a plain old key chain will also work which has been decorated with strands of ribbon or a boon doogle.

Buttons are also a fun way to decorate a backpack. We're not talking about the buttons on a coat, but the round ones that pin to your shirt and say things like "Kiss me, I'm Irish." Dollar stores are full of inexpensive buttons and a collection of ten buttons or more

Does anyone know any backpacks with good back and shoulder support?

I need a new backpack, I'm currently using the jansport big student backpack. I'm in college and I carry alot of books, but now it's starting to hurt my shoulders I stopped using it, I need a new backpack before school starts does anyone know any good ones? please provide link, also don't leave rude, nasty comments and if you don't know don't answer because you're just going to waste my time and yours. JUST MOVE ALONG. thank you so much!

Answer
Hi, I understand your problem. My kids experience the same problem. So far I've found two brands that offer the strap across the top between the shoulder straps which keeps the backpack high on your shoulders so that it distributes the weight better. I found some really nice ones at Kohl's by Tony Hawk (currently on sale). They don't have any good colors for women. Look at the Chico, Corktree, Hackberry & Shadblow styles. Zoom in on the top of the shoulder straps and you will see the extra strap across the top. That's what you want. Also, the High Sierra Loop Backpack has the same features. I've found them at JC Penney (also on sale). When you click on the JC Penney link below scroll down until you see the High Sierra Loop backpack. You don't want the High Sierra Fatboy model. It's the Loop model that you want. When the link comes up the Loop backpack is shown in pink. Just click on it and it will show you the other colors offered. You can even view the backpack from the back and get a good view of the strap across the shoulder straps. If there aren't any Kohl's or JC Penney's. Do a search on the internet. I think that Land's End might even carry a version of these packs. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

What color backpack should i get for college?

Should i go for a colorful or just stick to black or white?
I dont wanna look dumb and i dont really know what kind of backpacks college kids usually wear. I know im getting a jansport, though.

Answer
I realize you said you're getting a Jansport, but there's a new company called Jatalo that's selling backpacks with a good cause. The backpacks are built like Jansports with a hipster, older vibe. Plus, they're marketed towards college kids, so they'll have everything you need. (Big pocket for textbooks/laptop, front pockets for school I.D. and dorm keys, side zipper to steal from the dining hall...)

For every backpack they sell, they're donating a year's worth of textbooks to a child in a developing country. This way - instead of just having a Jansport or something - you'll have a backpack with a cause and can start a new trend.
(The coupon code books71 is a launch promo that will get you 10% off.)

how do i find the kindergartener a backpack I found belongs to?
