Summer camp is in two weeks! I have all the normal things, i was wondering if there was anything extra you find makes summer camp fun! Ive heard exta batteries, clothespins, and a handheld fan. Thanks!
Answer
Also packets of crystal light or any kind of lemonade mix because the water at camp tends to taste weird. Also i personally prefer to drink loads of lemonade than water haha. Also Im 15 but people still bring those magazines that have the posters in them like tiger beat and M because its always so much fun to have your cabin decorated with lame celebrities. It sounds strange but it makes it more home-y lol. For some reason when i packed a spray bottle last year it came in handy So much. I sometimes put my water in that and squirted it directly into my mouth and that of others because some people dont bring water everywhere. And the best part is that you can spray your bodies too and its the perfect misty refreshment. Mine was 2 dollars at cvs or walgreens. I dont bring handheld fans but a plug in (this is if your camp's cabins have outlets) small like 7 in. in diameter fan is great for keeping your bunk cool. Target's RE collection has them for cheap in all sorts of colors. Dont forget to bring a shower caddy to hold all your shampoo, conditioner, razor, etc.Target also sells those in many colors. I also found this list of stuff to bring from another yahoo answer's person named " hunnynut " lol. Anyway its really helpful so im gonna paste it in here. It has a bunch of basics but also stuff i tend to forget. Have fun at camp!

Camp counselor packing list and tips?
AllyBerry
I'm going to be a camp counselor, it's 12 weeks with 3 weeks of off-site outreach. We've been told to pack clothes in a bin, bring a duffle, and bring a back pack. There are laundry facilities and the camp is providing detergent. I can go home on Saturdays if I want to but I'm only going to that a couple times. I feel like I'm going to forget something...If you've been a counselor, how did you pack, and what tips do you have for me? This is my first time being a counselor and I'm super excited! I leave this Sunday :)
Forgot to mention...it's a Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Camp...aka "bible camp." haha
Answer
Pack as you would for going on an extended back packing trip, your not specific as to what the outreach is so pack for that as if your going to a hotel somewhere of course bring your Bible any music ability items Instruments and such also bring a good bible answers resource kids ask the most difficult questions. Bring your fave christian music and videos some camps libraries are so limited that they welcome what you can bring in, no worldly junk though. Look into the camps themes for the summer, costumes novelty items can come in handy for doing a skit. last a stash of your favorite treats, not for you but to reward the camper for doing what they ae supposed to do. It doesn't have to be candy it could be stickers, small toys or a badge or something be creative.
Here is a checklist modify as to your needs but always have your ten essentials
